Abstract:
Provided is a crawler crane wherein a rope is orderly wound on the drum of a winch independent of the position of a boom. This crawler crane is provided with: a main winch 19 having a main drum 21; and a rope holddown device 25 for pressing a main rope 23 wound on the main drum 21 of the main winch 19 against the main drum 21. The rope holddown device 25 is configured to include: a rocking arm 28 having a front end 28H which rocks about a support shaft 27 in the direction toward or away from the main drum 21; and a pressdown roller 29 mounted to the front end 28H of the rocking arm 28 and coming in contact with the main rope 23 wound on the main drum 21. The base end 28G of the rocking arm 28 is provided with a weight member 31 for biasing by gravity the front end 28H of the rocking arm 28 in the direction toward the main drum 21 such that the front end 28H rocks about the support shaft 27.
