Title:
CROSS-FLOW FAN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/089658
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a cross-flow fan that allows for a reduction in fan input and noise production while inhibiting a decrease in resistance to loss of speed. For that purpose, a protrusion (161) protruding toward the counter rotation direction side is formed on a negative pressure surface (132) of each blade (130) of the cross-flow fan (100). In a cross-section C perpendicular to a rotational shaft (140), the protrusion of each of the blades is provided circumferentially inward of an outer circumferential end (133) of the blade but circumferentially outward of the outermost circle (20) among virtual circles that are in contact with both of the negative pressure surface of the blade and the positive pressure surface of a blade located adjacent on the counter rotation direction side of said blade. In the cross-section C, the protrusion and the negative pressure surface circumferentially inward of the protrusion are connected together by a straight line portion (162). In the cross-section C, the straight line portion is a tangent that is in contact with both of the protrusion and the negative pressure surface circumferentially inward of the protrusion.
