Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present disclosure are a cross-network switching authentication method, and an apparatus. The method comprises: when a terminal device is switched to a 5G network and needs to be subjected to authentication in the 5G network, an AMF sending an authentication request to the terminal device; receiving an authentication response, which is sent by the terminal device, wherein the authentication response comprises an identifier of the terminal device; and calling an authentication server function (AUSF), and authenticating the terminal device according to the identifier of the terminal device, so as to generate a security key and/or user subscription data. In this way, during the authentication process, the security key and/or user subscription data, which can support security protection for information in a subsequent flow is generated, which information is sent to the terminal device, so as to support the security protection for the information, which is sent to the terminal device, in the subsequent flow, thereby ensuring the security of communication between the terminal device and a network side.
