Abstract:
Disclosed is a cross-shaped solid shape, which relates to a manufacturing method for a geometric body. The cross-shaped solid shape is formed by combining six identical components; taking a piece of square paper and folding the square paper into a folded longitudinal rectangle; then folding and deforming the shape into an octagon with an upper isosceles trapezoid, a lower isosceles trapezoid and four four-layered isosceles right-angled triangles; further folding into a component; the four-layered isosceles right-angled triangles being inserting parts when inserting the component; the openings of small squares 21, 25, 41, 45 being interlayer openings, namely, openings to be inserted when inserting the component; and respectively inserting one set of two inserting parts of a first component into two openings to be inserted of a second component, namely, achieving insertion of two components in one. In inserting like this, the six components are inserted to form the cross-shaped solid shape. The design is intriguing; the component manufacturing is regular; the component combination is simple; and the modelling is unusual and artistic.
