Abstract:
The present invention relates to a medical material. More particularly, the present invention relates to a medical material which contains, as an active ingredient, a catechol-based functional group having excellent adhesive force and coating strength, and which can thus be used as an effective carrier drug delivery. The medical material of the present invention, when contacted with an wounded body part, exhibits excellent osmotic absorption ability, waterproofing ability, and moisture permeability, and protects the wounded body part from the ingress of external bacteria, viruses, foreign substances, and the like. The medical material of the present invention may provide a moist environment appropriate for the wound to not only promote wound-healing, but also minimize the scar remaining after recovery from the wound and prevent organ adhesion.
