Abstract:
The present invention relates to a crosswalk pedestrian safety system and an operating method therefor, and disclosed are a pedestrian safety system and an operating method therefor, the crosswalk pedestrian safety system comprising: a pedestrian sensing unit provided at a crosswalk entrance, and sensing the presence or the passing of a person on the basis of a safety line while a pedestrian crossing light is in a "stop" signal state; a signal identification unit receiving a signal from a signal light sensing unit or a signal light control unit so as to identify whether the pedestrian crossing light is a "stop" signal or a "walk" signal; a visually impaired person system voice guidance sensing unit for sensing whether a visually impaired person system, which is separately installed, is in a voice guidance state for a visually impaired person; a visually impaired person system voice guidance presence/absence identification unit for receiving a signal from the visually impaired person system voice guidance sensing unit so as to identify whether the visually impaired person system is in the voice guidance state; a control unit for allowing a guide voice or a warning sound, corresponding to entering a safety line, to be outputted through a sound output unit when sensing that a pedestrian of the pedestrian sensing unit enters the safety line while the pedestrian crossing light of the signal identification unit is in the "stop" signal state; and the sound output unit for outputting the guide voice or the warning sound by the control of the control unit, wherein during the voice guidance of the visually impaired person system voice guidance presence/absence identification unit, the control unit prevents the guide voice or the warning sound corresponding to entering the safety line from being outputted through the sound output unit even if it is sensed that a pedestrian enters the safety line in the pedestrian sensing unit while the pedestrian crossing light of the signal identification unit is in the "stop" signal state and the control unit prevents the guide voice corresponding to the "walk" signal in the "walk" signal state, and if there is no voice guidance of the visually impaired person system voice guidance presence/absence identification unit, the control unit allows the guide voice or the warning sound, corresponding to entering the safety line, to be outputted through the sound output unit if it is sensed that the pedestrian enters the safety line in the pedestrian sensing unit while the pedestrian crossing light of the signal identification unit is in the "stop" signal state, and further includes a current time checking unit for checking a current time so as to control the sound volume of the voice guidance or the warning sound according to whether it is day or night, and the control unit controls the sound volume according to the checked time of the current time checking unit during the day such that the guide voice or the warning sound is outputted. In addition, the visually impaired person system voice guidance presence/absence identification unit identifies whether the visually impaired person system is in the voice guidance state so as to prevent other voices from being outputted during the visually impaired person voice guidance, thereby preventing voices from overlapping with each other. In addition, the system and the method therefor enable a set time to be checked so as to determine whether it is day or night such that a guide voice sound lower than that of the daytime is outputted at night, thereby preventing civil complaints of dissatisfaction due to the sound at night.
