Pillar parts (12) are formed such that outer circumferential surfaces thereof close to distal-end sections thereof and each including a pair of claw sections are located closer to an inner diameter side than an outer circumferential surface of a main part (11) is. A plurality of thinned sections obtained through notching in the axial direction from an axial side surface of the main part (11) to the respective pillar parts (12) are formed, on the inner diameter side of a retainer (10), at the positions of the pillar parts (12) in the circumferential direction, so as to be apart from one another. Each of the thinned sections (20) is formed so as to be apart from a surface of a pocket (13) and an axially outer side surface of the pillar part (12) formed between the pair of claw sections (14). T2 > T1 is established, where T1 indicates an axial dimension of a wall section (22) formed between the axially outer side surface of the pillar part (12) and an inner wall surface of the thinned section (20), and T2 indicates an axial dimension of the main part (11) at the bottom section of the pocket (13). With this configuration, contact with other parts hardly occurs even in a case in which deformation occurs due to a centrifugal force at high-speed rotation, and it is possible to suppress deformation at high-speed rotation by securing the rigidity of predetermined sections while reducing the centrifugal force at high-speed rotation due to weight reduction.
