Abstract:
Provided is a silicon crushing apparatus for transmitting an energy to be applied to a piston (58), highly efficiently to a silicon ingot (104) by compressed air.
In order to transmit the energy highly efficiently to the silicon ingot (104), a rod member (66) and a hammer head (74) are connected and are reciprocated by the piston (58). When the compressed air does not act on the piston (58), the hammer head (74) is urged to a standby position by a compression coil spring (76). When the compressed air acts on the piston (58), the hammer head (74) moves from the standby position to abut against the silicon ingot (104).
