Abstract:
Provided is a crushing tip with which a contact surface area between the crushing tip, which vibrates ultrasonically, and a crystalline lens is increased, and with which crushing and emulsification of the crystalline lens can be performed efficiently.
In this crushing tip which is inserted into a crystalline lens of an eye of a patient during ophthalmic surgery, and which imparts ultrasonic vibrations thereto to crush the crystalline lens and sucks out the crushed crystalline lens, one or a plurality of partition walls (11, 21, 31) are provided in a through-hole (10a) in a cylindrical tip body (10) in such a way as to traverse the through-hole (10a). The distal end of the partition wall (21) may be caused to protrude out further than the distal end of the tip body (10), and the protruding part may be caused to extend as far as the outer peripheral edge of the tip body (10).
