Title:
CRYOGENIC ADSORPTION REFRIGERATOR AND METHOD OF COOLING AN OBJECT THEREBY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1990/008294
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A cryogenic adsorption refrigerator comprises two circles (a, b) each comprising: a receptacle (2a, 2b) with an adsorbent, a heat exchanging unit (3) and a heat transferring receptacle (4a, 4b). The heat transferring receptacles (4a, 4b) are interconnected by a connecting line (7) on which is mounted a Joule-Thompson throttle (8). A method of cooling an object by the cryogenic adsorption refrigerator consists in connecting to the object (6) first one heat transferring receptacle (4a or 4b) containing the cryoagent at the temperature and the pressure of cryostating, and then, after termination of the desorption process in the high pressure line, an isoentropic expansion of the cryoagent is effected in the high pressure line and a second heat transferring receptacle (4b or 4a) is connected additionally to the object (6).
