Abstract:
A cryogenic cooling system 10 comprising: a gas circulation source 12; a cryogenic refrigerator 22 equipped with a refrigerator stage 28 that cools cooling gas; a cooling subject gas passage 18; a gas supply line 16 for supplying cooling gas from the gas circulation source 12 to the cooling subject gas passage 18 through the refrigerator stage 18; a gas recovery line 20 for recovering the cooling gas from the cooling subject gas passage 18 to the gas circulation source 12; at least one temperature sensor 38 that is arranged along the gas supply line 16 at a measurement site at a distance from the cooling subject gas passage 18 and/or along the gas recovery line 20 at a measurement site separated from the cooling subject gas passage 18; and a gas flow rate control unit 42 for controlling the gas circulation source 12 so as to regulate the flow rate of the cooling gas flowing in the cooling subject gas passage 18 in accordance with a measured temperature obtained by the temperature sensor 38 at the one or more measurement sites.
