Abstract:
A cryogenic refrigerator (100) is provided with a first-level cylinder (34) and a second-level cylinder (40), a first-level stage (32) provided at the end of the first-level cylinder (34) on the second-level cylinder (40) side, a second-level stage (38) provided at the end of the second-level cylinder (40) on the opposite side from the first-level cylinder (34), a radiation shield (16) for accommodating the second-level stage (38) and shielding the second-level stage (38) from external radiant heat, and a temperature sensor (48) attached to the second-level stage (38) and detecting the temperature of the second-level stage (38). A cable insertion hole (58) for pulling out the output cable of the temperature sensor (48) from the interior of the radiation shield (16) to the outside is formed in the radiation shield (16). The cable insertion hole (58) is configured such that radiant heat entering the radiation shield (16) from the outside does not directly reach the second-level stage (38).
