Abstract:
A crystal of a compound which has a fluorene skeleton represented by formula (1), and which has at least one endothermic peak within the range of from 110°C to 190°C as determined by differential scanning calorimetric analysis. A crystal of this compound is easy to handle; and a resin which is obtained by using the crystal of this compound as a starting material is suppressed in variation in quality. (In the formula, rings Z represent (the same or different) aromatic groups; each of R1 and R2 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a hydrocarbon group which may contain an aromatic group having 1-12 carbon atoms; each of Ar1 and Ar2 represents an optionally substituted aromatic group having 6-10 carbon atoms; each of L1 and L2 represents an alkylene group; and each of m and n independently represents an integer of 0-5.)
