Abstract:
In order to improve the effectiveness or light yield of an elongated radiation source (2), a reflector surrounds the circumference of the radiation source with several cylindrical Fresnel lenses (3). The light generated by the radiation source (2) is almost completely reflected or deflected by prisms (5) or light deflectors (6) adjacent to the lateral or lower cylindrical Fresnel lenses (3) and exits the reflector as light rays that propagate in a parallel direction.
