Abstract:
Disclosed is a material having an excellent secondary electron emission coefficient under practically available production conditions, which enables PDPs to be driven at low voltages.
A crystalline oxide selected from CaSnO3, SrSnO3, BaSnO3 and a solid solution comprising two or more of the aforementioned substances is subjected to a treatment for reducing the quantity of Ca, Sr or Ba in the vicinity of the surface thereof. The treated crystalline oxide can be used as a protective layer material to produce a plasma display panel.
