Provided are: a crystalline polyester resin having both a high melting point and a high fluidity; and a flame-resistant sealing resin composition using the crystalline polyester resin. This crystalline polyester resin (A) contains, as copolymer components, polycarboxylic acid components and polyhydric alcohol components, wherein the copolymer proportion of a 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid component is 40-100 mol% with respect to 100 mol% of all the polycarboxylic acid components of the crystalline polyester resin (A), and a 1,4-butane diol component is incorporated as a polyhydric alcohol component in the copolymer, and the copolymer proportion of the 1,4-butane diol component is 40 mol% or less with respect to 100 mol% of all the polyhydric alcohol components.
