Abstract:
Provided is a crystalline-polymer microporous membrane including a laminate that is made up of two or more layers, that has a layer containing a first crystalline polymer and a layer containing a second crystalline polymer superposed in layers, and that has a multitude of pores penetrating therethrough in the thickness direction. The melting point of the first crystalline polymer is higher than the melting point of the second crystalline polymer. At least the layer containing the second crystalline polymer in the laminate has a fine structure that contains at least fibrils having an average longitudinal length of 1 μm or less. At least one of the layers in the laminate has a multitude of pores with a constant, invariant average pore diameter formed in at least a portion thereof in the thickness direction of the laminate.
