Abstract:
Disclosed are a CS fallback method and apparatus in a handover process. The method comprises: in a handover process, after handing over a source side base station and receiving a message carrying a CS fallback indication, judging whether the type of this handover is an intra-station handover or an inter-station handover; if this handover is an intra-station handover, directly cancelling this handover and executing a CS fallback flow, or executing a CS fallback flow when the handover fails or succeeds; and if this handover is an inter-station handover, directly cancelling this handover and executing a CS fallback flow, or starting a timer and caching the message, and within the timing time of the timer, if the handover fails, re-establishing return of the source side base station, and starting a CS fallback flow according to the cached message.
