The present invention provides a CT-attachable PET (33) for providing a fusion image combining an anatomical image from a CT scanner and a functional image from a PET detector, the CT-attachable PET comprising the PET detector (30) which is positioned in a depth (35) of 0cm to 150cm from one side of the PET attached on the CT scanner (20). Also, the present invention provides a method for providing a CT-PET fusion image by attaching the CT-attachable PET to the CT scanner. The CT-attachable PET of the present invention can be detachably mounted to a conventional CT and enables fusion of anatomical images and functional images without an expensive CT and PET-integrated equipment which has been used in hospitals. Thus, the CT-attachable PET of the present invention is very economical by increasing availability of a conventional CT device without purchasing an expensive PET/CT integrated device. At the same time, the CT-attachable PET improves reliability of diagnosing various tumors, neurological disorders, and heart disease.
