Abstract:
In view of the above-described background, the present invention provides a Cu-Cr-O composite oxide pigment which has excellent color characteristics and improved durability. The present invention provides a Cu-Cr-Zn-O composite oxide pigment which is obtained by having Zn, that is derived from zinc oxide, solid-solved in a Cu-Cr-O composite oxide, the zinc oxide having been added to the Cu-Cr-O composite oxide as a modifying oxide, and which has an oxide composition formula aCuO∙bCr2O3∙cZnO (mol%). In the formula, 0.1 ≤ c ≤ 5, 45 ≤ a + c ≤ 55, 45 ≤ b ≤ 55 and (a + b + c) = 100.
