Abstract:
A culture device for an alga, wherein the amount of CO2 dissolved in a culture liquid, said culture liquid being pooled in a tank body of a culture tank, is increased, and the retention and accumulation of oxygen gas (O2), said oxygen gas being generated by photosynthesis of microalgae, in the inner space of the tank body are blocked to thereby prevent the inhibition of the proliferation or growth of the alga. The culture device is provided with: culture liquid-discharging nozzles 7R and 7L for discharging the culture liquid, which contains CO2 blown thereinto and which is refluxed through a culture liquid circulation path 4, from the top side of the barrel of the tank body 2 toward the bottom side thereof; and a ventilator 10 for releasing the high-concentration oxygen gas (O2) outside, said oxygen gas (O2) being generated by photosynthesis of the microalgae and retained in the inner space of the tank body 2.
