Title:
CULTURE MEDIUM FOR INCREASING NUMBER OF DEHALOCOCCOIDES SP. MICROBE STRAINS HAVING ABILITY TO COMPLETELY DECHLORINATE TETRACHLOROETHYLENE AND TRICHLOROETHYLENE, AND METHOD FOR CULTURING JL-1 MICROBIAL CONSORTIA USING SAID CULTURE MEDIUM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/165132
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the effect of providing JL-1 (KCTC 11782BP) microbial consortia having an increased number of Dehalococcoides sp. strains, and also relates to the effect of providing a microbial agent for biological purification using the microbial consortia in order to completely break down tetrachloroethylene and trichloroethylene into ethane without the accumulation of vinylchloride, which is a known carcinogen, in a dechlorination mechanism.
