Abstract:
Provided is a culturing assistance device including: an image acquisition unit that acquires a plurality of captured images in which cells are captured in a time sequence; a state-probability calculation unit that calculates, separately for a plurality of states and the plurality of captured images, the probabilities of the cells shown in the captured images acquired by the image acquisition unit being in certain states; a change-history calculation unit that calculates a change history, which represents state changes in a time sequence, on the basis of prescribed rules indicating the mutual relationship among the plurality of states and the probabilities calculated by the state-probability calculation unit; and a state determination unit that determines the states on the basis of the change history calculated by the change-history calculation unit.
