Title:
CURABLE COMPOSITION FOR OPTICAL MATERIALS, AND OPTICAL MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/129930
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention is a curable composition for optical materials, which is characterized by containing (A) 100 parts by mass of a radically polymerizable monomer, (B) 0.1-5 parts by mass of an ultraviolet absorbent which is composed of a benzotriazole compound having a specific structure, and which has a maximum absorption wavelength of 360 nm or more but less than 380 nm, while having an absolute value of the solubility parameter (SP) difference of 5.5 (cal/cm3)1/2 or less from the radically polymerizable monomer (A), (C) 1-5 parts by mass of an ultraviolet absorbent which is composed of at least one compound that is selected from among benzotriazole compounds, benzophenone compounds and triazine compounds, and which has a maximum absorption wavelength of less than 360 nm, and (D) 0.05-0.5 part by mass of a radical polymerization initiator. The present invention is able to provide a curable composition for optical materials, which is suitable for use as a coating material that has ultraviolet and blue light blocking ability, while having good storage stability and good weather resistance.
