Abstract:

Disclosed is a curable composition having good curability, adhesiveness and storage stability which uses a catalyst other than organic tin catalysts. Specifically disclosed is a curable composition composed of an organic polymer (A) having a reactive silicon-containing group and a silanol condensation catalyst (B) composed of at least one substance selected from organic tin compounds, carboxylic acids and amine compounds. This curable composition is characterized in that at least a part of the reactive silicon-containing group of the organic polymer (A) is a group represented by the following formula (1): -(CR²₂)₂-(SiR¹_2-aX_aO)_m-SiX₃ (1) , and in that the silanol condensation catalyst (B) is composed of an amine compound (B1), or an amine compound (B1) and a carboxylic acid (B2) wherein the total amount of the carboxylic acid is not more than 0.1 in molar ratio assuming the amount of amine compound is 1.
