Abstract:
Provided is a curable compound having a low melting temperature, having excellent workability as a result of having good solvent solubility, and being capable of forming a cured product having hyperthermostability. This curable compound is characterized by comprising characteristics (a)–(e). (a) Number average molecular weight (in terms of standard polystyrene): 1,000–15,000. (b) Ratio of aromatic ring-derived structures in the total amount of curable compound: at least 50 wt%. (c) Solvent solubility at 25°C: at least 1 g/100 g. (d) Glass transition temperature: no more than 280°C. (e) 5% weight loss temperature (Td5) measured at temperature-increase speed of 10°C/min (in nitrogen), for cured product of curable compound: at least 300°C.
