Abstract:
Provided are a curing accelerator for oxidatively polymerizable unsaturated resins with which it is possible to reduce the amount of cobalt metal soap used and which has the same or better curing performance as the excellent curing performance of cobalt metal soap; and a printing ink and coating material using the same. A curing accelerator for oxidatively polymerizable unsaturated resins characterized by containing a manganese or cobalt complex (α) having as a ligand a quinolinol compound ion represented by structural formula (1) (in the formula, R1 is any of a hydrogen atom, C1-6 hydrocarbon group, C1-6 alkoxy group, hydroxyl group, amino group, nitro group, nitroso group, sulfo group, or halogen atom, n is an integer of 1-6.); and a printing ink and coating material including the curing accelerator.
