Abstract:
Provided are: a curing agent for magnetic recording media, which contains a compound represented by general formula (1); a composition for magnetic recording media, which contains this curing agent for magnetic recording media; a method for producing a magnetic recording medium, which uses this composition for magnetic recording media; and a magnetic recording medium which comprises a magnetic layer on a non-magnetic supporting body, and wherein the magnetic layer is a cured layer that is obtained by curing the above-described composition for magnetic recording media. In general formula (1), X represents a monovalent heterocyclic group or a monovalent group represented by general formula (2); Z represents an m-valent organic group; and m represents an integer of 2 or more. In general formula (2), R1 represents an alkyl group; R2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group; and * represents the bonding position to the adjacent carbon atom.
