Abstract:
The disclosed currency processing device is an automatic change machine provided with: a deposit port which receives currency; a calculation unit which determines a deposit amount corresponding to the amount of the currency, and calculates the difference between the deposit amount and a withdrawal amount; and a change payout unit which pays out change corresponding to said difference. The currency processing device is provided with: a check deposit port which receives a check; an image information acquisition unit which acquires image information of the check; and a cash amount setting unit which sets the amount of cash for the check on the basis of predetermined information. The calculation unit is configured to determined a deposit amount corresponding to the cash amount of the check. Thus, the currency processing device can be used as an accounting support device which supports payments by check as well as bank note. Furthermore, because the currency processing device is provided with an image information acquisition unit, the acquisition of image information of checks is made possible.
