Abstract:
Provided is a current-carrying member (1, 31) for fuel cells, which is obtained by subjecting a surface-treated base 10 that comprises a base (11) and at least one metal plating layer (12) formed on the base (11) to an acid treatment after the formation of a protective film 14 on the metal plating layer 12 with use of a protective film forming agent. With respect to this current-carrying member (1, 31) for fuel cells, it is preferable that the protective film forming agent is an agent that contains a mixture of an azole compound and a compound having a thiol group and/or an azole compound having a thiol group. With respect to this current-carrying member (1, 31) for fuel cells, it is preferable that the acid treatment is a treatment that uses sulfuric acid or nitric acid.
