Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a current collector for a battery, the current collector having sufficient strength to suppress cracking and tearing that may occur during manufacture due to reduction in thickness; and a battery having said current collector. [Solution] This current collector for a battery is characterized by having at least: a first metal layer containing at least a metal selected from among Cu, Fe, and Ni; and a second metal layer which is laminated on the first metal layer, and contains at least a metal that is selected from among Cu, Fe, and Ni, and different from the metal contained in the first metal layer, wherein one among the first metal layer and the second metal layer contains Ni, and the roughness Ra at the lamination interface between the first metal layer and the second metal layer is at least 0.12.
