Abstract:
Disclosed is a current sensor with good electrical characteristics, reduced size and weight, and which comprises: a first magnetic body and a pair of second magnetic bodies positioned annularly so as to encircle a conductor through which the current to be measured flows; and a detection element which detects the strength of a magnetic field formed by the current to be measured and which is positioned in a gap between the pair of second magnetic bodies with the detection direction arranged in the gap interval direction. In the current sensor provided with the detection element that detects the strength of a magnetic field formed by the current to be measured, the first magnetic body is formed by folding and bending a single-layer flat plate formed from a metal magnetic body such that there is an opening between one end and the other end of same; at least one of the pair of second magnetic bodies is positioned separated from the first magnetic body; and the detection element is positioned in the gap and separated from both in the pair of second magnetic bodies.
