Title:
CURRENT SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/199654
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A current sensor has a magnetic core that has a void and has magnetic flux generated by a current under measurement passed therethrough, a Hall element disposed in the void, a coil for applying magnetic flux to the Hall element, a high-frequency oscillator for applying a high-frequency signal to the coil, an amplifier for amplifying the output of the Hall element, a first low-pass filter for removing the frequency component of the high-frequency signal from the output of the amplifier, a multiplier for multiplying the output of the amplifier and the high-frequency signal, a second low-pass filter for removing the frequency component greater than or equal to the difference between the frequency of the high-frequency signal and the frequency of the current under measurement from the output of the multiplier, a subtractor for subtracting the output of the second low-pass filter from a reference voltage, a control signal generator for generating a control signal from the output of the subtractor, and a current control circuit for controlling the current supplied to the Hall element according to the control signal. The sensor is not affected by temperature variation and is capable of always securing a constant current sensitivity.
