Disclosed is a curtain wall unit with excellent appearance and which can prevent short circuits. The curtain wall unit is provided with a frame body constituted from horizontal frames and vertical frames, a first glass panel partitioned by the frame body and positioned inside the frame, and a second glass panel, which is partitioned by the frame body and positioned inside the frame at a prescribed distance from the first glass panel such that the surface of the second glass panel faces the surface of said first glass panel. A hollow layer is formed between the first glass panel and the second glass panel, and one of the vertical frames that constitute the frame body is provided with a first circulation opening which communicates with the hollow layer, and another of the vertical frames is provided with a second circulation opening which communicates with the hollow layer and which is positioned higher than the first circulation opening.
