Abstract:
Provided is a curtain wall such that high thermal insulation properties can be obtained even in the case of a configuration wherein isobaric spaces are formed. This curtain wall is configured in such a way that there are frame bodies and glass panels, said frame bodies being formed by combining horizontal frames and vertical frames in a frame-like manner, and said glass panels being disposed in frames demarcated by the frame bodies; that a plurality of sealing members are disposed between each adjacent pair of vertical frames; that sealing members are disposed between each adjacent pair of horizontal frames; that horizontal frame spaces are formed between each pair of horizontal frames; that at least two vertical frame spaces are formed between each pair of vertical frames in such a way as to be juxtaposed in the depth direction; that frame elements and sealing members have non-sealed sections so that the horizontal frame spaces will communicate with the outside air; that the vertical frame space which is disposed in the most outward portion communicates with a horizontal frame space; and that frame elements and sealing members have non-sealed sections so that the other vertical frame spaces will communicate with said vertical frame space disposed in the most outward portion, directly or via other vertical frame space.
