Abstract:
A curve drawing and measurement tool are provided. On the bases of the basic principle of the parabolic five-point drawing method, elasticity of a stainless steel scale (18) made of a strip-shaped ultra-thin stainless steel sheet is used to make the stainless steel scale (18) smoothly bend to be a desired parabolic shape and then to draw a parabolic pattern along the outside of the stainless steel scale (18). With this tool, a parabola, a hyperbola, an ellipse, a circle, and other curves can be drawn quickly and easily, and the length of the curve can be measured. The tool also has traditional functions of a protractor and a ruler, and can be used to draw any geometry.
