Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a cushion body that realizes not only a large load supporting
force but also soft tactile sensation, being capable of desirably maintaining
the uneven configuration of groove portion or the like made at the surface brought
into contact with the sitter, and provide a sitting seat containing the cushion
body and a process for manufacturing them. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] There
is provided cushion body (11) formed from fiber structure (4) composed of a mixture
of main fiber and binder fiber by the use of shaping mold (40) with cavity of given
configuration (40a), wherein the fiber structure (4) consists of web (2) being
a mixture of main fiber and binder fiber laminated so that the direction of outward
extension of the web (2) is along the direction of thickness of the fiber structure
(4), and wherein the fiber structure (4) is arranged so that the direction of thickness
thereof is along the direction of thickness of the cushion body (11). Further,
the cushion body (11) is provided with groove portion (12) of given width depressed
in the direction of thickness of the fiber structure (4). The groove portion (12)
is formed so that the direction of width thereof (Wd) is orthogonal to the direction
of lamination (L) of the web (2) constituting the fiber structure (4).
