Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cushioning packing material having side air passages, and to a method for manufacturing same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a cushioning packing material having side air passages and to method for manufacturing same, wherein air passages are formed in side joining portions formed among a plurality of air cells arranged in a horizontal direction, to form an air injection path, air passages, and air cells simultaneously through a single joining process, thereby improving work efficiency. The cushioning packing material having side air passages according to the present invention comprises: an upper outer cover and a lower outer cover which are partially joined to form air cells and an air injection path; and an upper inner cover and a lower inner cover interposed between the upper outer cover and the lower outer cover to form air injection valves in respective side joining portions formed among air cells formed by partially joining the upper outer cover and the lower outer cover. Release members are arranged at a regular interval on an upper surface of a front end of the lower inner cover, and the upper outer cover, the upper inner cover, the lower inner cover and the lower outer cover are simultaneously and partially joined through a single joining process, to thereby form the air cells sequentially arranged in a horizontal direction. Air passages with the respective air injection valves are formed in the respective side joining portions formed among the plurality of air cells. The air injection path communicating with the plurality of air passages is formed along front ends of the air cells. Each of the air cells has a side surface in which an opening is formed. The openings of the air cells communicate with the respective air passages connected to respective rear ends of the air injection valves.
