Abstract:
The invention relates to a cutter (5) for a chopping assembly which loosens the spent mash in a clarifying vat, said mash resulting during beer production. The cutter along with an essentially vertical running shaft (8) which is straight, wavy or zigzag shaped has at least one chopping or cutting element (7, 12) at the end of the shaft. The chopping or cutting element (7, 12) can be fastened to or detached from the shaft (8) so that the chopping or cutting element (7, 12) can be changed out independently of one another from the shaft (8) of the cutter (5).
