Abstract:
In a reciprocating cutting tool such as a reciprocating saw, etc., in which a mounting base end of a cutter is inserted and secured between a cutter mounting pedestal of an output rod and a holder, in order to make it possible to select and secure a cutter having a large width and a cutter having a small width, a mounting groove for a small width is formed along a bottom of a mounting groove for a large width of a holder in the prior art, and accordingly, there is a problem that a large width mounting base end is partly in a floating state, thus resulting in an unstable mount state. The invention makes it possible to mount each of a plurality of kinds of cutters having different widths in a stable state. A mounting base end of a cutter (11) is inserted and mounted in a width direction between a mounting pedestal of an output rod (6) and a lower edge portion (15c) of a holder (15). By reversing the holder (15) in the forward and backward direction to change the heights (H1, H2) of insertion openings (16, 17), mounting base ends having different widths can be reliably and firmly inserted.
