Abstract:
A cutter for a string-like article capable of cutting easily a string-like article, and a container for a string-like article and a work table which use the cutter, can pack an article in a short time and are excellent in work efficiency; the cutter (10) comprising a rotation unit (1) rotating in both forward and reverse directions around a spindle (2) mounted to a case (3), an elastic body (6) acting on the rotation of the rotation unit (1) and a blade (4) attached to the case (3) or the rotation unit (1), wherein a string-like article (7) is passed between the rotation unit (1) and the inner face of the case (3) and a part of the passed string-like article (7) is rotated toward the rotation unit (1) to thereby allow the rotation unit (1) to rotate in the direction in which the article (7) is rotated and the other part of the article (7) to be held between the rotation unit (1) and the inner face of the case (3), and the part of the passed article (7) is further rotated to allow the passed article (7) to contact the blade (4) and be cut and to allow the elastic force of the elastic body (6) to rotate the rotation unit (1) reversely for returning it to a state where the article (7) is still uncut; and the container (11) for the string-like article and the work table (9) using the cutter (10).
