Abstract:
The cutting device (10) advances a chain stopper (61) within a spacer section (5) of a continuous fastener chain (1) in response to detection of the spacer section (5) and conveys the continuous fastener chain (1) to a specified position in opposition to the elastic force of a tension spring (73). Subsequently, in the case of a continuous fastener chain (1) with a stop (6), the chain stopper (61) is separated from the spacer section (5) and the continuous fastener chain (1) is positioned in a cutting position (CL2). In the case of a continuous fastener chain (1) with a separable stop (7), the driven rollers (23A, 23B) of the conveyor rollers (21A, 21B) are raised and the continuous fastener chain (1) is retracted using the elastic force of the tension spring (73) to position the continuous fastener chain in a cutting position (CL1) in which the separable stop (7) is seated in a seating groove (112). As a result, it is possible to reliably position continuous fastener chains (1) that have a stop (6) or a separable stop (7) in cutting positions that differ from each other.
