Abstract:
Provided is a cutting edge replaceable drill in which a chip exhaust efficiency is improved. The cutting edge replaceable drill has: an insert attachment seat to which a cutting insert formed on the front end side in a rotational axis line direction is detachably mounted; and a chip exhausting groove formed from the front end surface to the back end side in the rotational axis line direction and used for exhausting chips produced by the cutting insert. The wall surface that defines the chip exhausting groove has a smoothed surface at least at a part thereof, the smoothed surface having a surface roughness of 0.5 μm or less in the arithmetic average roughness (Ra) (JIS · B0601 : 2001).
