CUTTING INSERT AND CUTTING TOOL, AND CUT WORKPIECE MANUFACTURING METHOD USING SAME

An insert comprises: an upper surface; a lower surface; a side surface connecting each of the upper and lower surfaces and having a first side surface and a second side surface which are adjacent to each other; and a cutting blade having a main cutting blade positioned on the intersecting line between the upper surface and the first side surface and a sub cutting blade positioned on the intersecting line between the first and second side surfaces. The first side surface has a first constraint surface positioned in a central region in a thickness direction and a scoop surface positioned between the first constraint surface and the main cutting blade and hollowed with respect to the first constraint surface and the main cutting blade. In a side view, the distance between the main cutting blade and the first constraint surface increases as approaching the sub cutting blade. A cutting tool equipped with this cutting insert and a cut workpiece manufacturing method using this cutting tool are provided.
