Abstract:
A cutting insert according to one non-limiting aspect of the present disclosure comprises a base portion and a cutting portion. The cutting portion includes an upper surface, a first side surface, a second side surface, a third side surface, a first cutting edge, and a second cutting edge. The first cutting edge is located on a first ridge line. The second cutting edge is located on a second ridge line. The upper surface includes a first inclined surface, a pair of protrusions, and a first raised portion. The first inclined surface is located along the first ridge line. The pair of protrusions are arranged side by side in the direction along the first ridge line on the first inclined surface. The first raised portion is located on a side farther from the first ridge line than the pair of protrusions. The second cutting edge is inclined downward as the second cutting edge becomes farther from the first ridge line. The upper end of the first raised portion is located above the second cutting edge.
