Abstract:
A cutting insert according to this disclosure is provided with a first face having a corner and first and second sides extending from the corner, a second face connected to the first face, and a cutting edge located in an area where the first face and the second face intersect. The cutting edge has a first cutting edge located at the first side, a second cutting edge located at the second side, and a third cutting edge located at the corner. The first cutting edge and the third cutting edge are honed. The honing width of the third cutting edge at the second-cutting-edge side thereof decreases from the first cutting edge toward the second cutting edge. Provided are a cutting tool provided with this cutting insert and a method for manufacturing a cut object by using this cutting tool.
