Abstract:
A cutting insert according to an embodiment is provided with a main body having a first face, a second face and side surfaces. The first face has a firs corner, a second corner and a first side. The first side is positioned between the first corner and the second corner. The first side has, from the first corner to the second corner, a first portion, a second portion, a third portion and a fourth portion in this order. In a front view of the first face, a virtual straight line tangential to the first portion serves as a reference line. The inclination angles of the first portion, the second portion, the third portion and the fourth portion with respect to the reference line are the first angle, the second angle, the third angle, and the fourth angle, respectively. Here, the third angle is smaller than the second angle and the fourth angle.
