Abstract:
The cutting insert according to one non-limiting aspect of the present disclosure has: an upper surface having a first upper side extending from a first upper corner, and a second upper side extending from the first upper corner; a lower surface having a first lower side that is positioned below the second upper side and that extends from a first lower corner, and a second lower side that is positioned below the first upper side and that extends from the first lower corner; and lateral surfaces. The lateral surfaces include: a first lateral surface connected to the first upper side and the second lower side; a second lateral surface connected to the second upper side and the first lower side; and a third lateral surface positioned between the first lateral surface and the second lateral surface. The first lateral surface has a first recess having a flat first restraint surface. The second lateral surface has a second recess having a flat second restraint surface. The third lateral surface has a protrusion. The first recess and the second recess are separated with the protrusion therebetween.
