Abstract:
A cutting insert according to one embodiment is provided with a polygonal first surface, a second surface, a third surface, and a cutting edge. The first surface is provided with a first corner, a first edge, a second edge, a first inclined surface positioned along the first edge, and a second inclined surface positioned along the second edge. Furthermore, in a plan view of the first surface, the width of the first inclined surface in a direction orthogonal to the first edge becomes greater as the first inclined surface approaches the second edge, and the width of the second inclined surface in the direction orthogonal to the second edge becomes greater as the second inclined surface approaches the first edge.
