Abstract:
When cutting workpieces with this cutting machine, appropriate workpieces are cut. A cutting machine 10 comprises a holder unit 16 that holds a workpiece 5, a cutting unit, and a control device 70. The workpiece 5 is provided with a memory 3 that is provided with an identifier. The cutting machine 10 further comprises a reading device 58. The control device 70 comprises: a reading unit 76 that, prior to cutting, causes the identifier of the workpiece 5 held by the holder unit 16 to be read by the reading device 58; a determination unit 78 that determines whether the identifier read by the reading device 58 matches a target identifier designated in a processing program; and an error notification unit 82 that issues an error notification if it is determined by the determination unit 78 that the identifier read by the reading device 58 does not match the target identifier.
